A municipality in the Sharr mountains, partly inside Sharri National Park.

- Law 03/L-041 includes Shtërpcë; the Serbian name in the law text is Štrpce.
- Law 04/L-087 on Sharri National Park (Official Gazette / AMMK) designates Sharri National Park over 53,469 ha.
- Article 2 of the law states that the park lies in the municipalities of Kaçanik, Shtërpcë, Suharekë, Prizren and Dragash.
- Under Article 2, the park boundary follows Sharr peaks including Luboten (2,499 m), Çuka e Liqenit / Bistra (2,604 m), Tërpeznica (2,610 m) and Rudoka (2,658 m), as far as the tri-border point (Kësula e Priftit).
- Article 1 stresses the territory's natural values, conserved forests, ecosystems, endemic and relict species, and scientific, cultural, landscape and recreational–tourism values.
