What to know

The ASK Population and Housing Census 2024 counted 2,481 residents in the municipality, including among others 2,349 Serb and 129 Albanian residents.
Under ASK's classification of statistical regions, the municipality covers 77.62 km² and 13 settlements, and belongs to the Gjilan statistical region.
The municipality was established by Law 03/L-041 on Administrative Municipal Boundaries (2008, Article 5.5); the Serbian name in the law text is Ranilug.

As a new municipality created by the 2008 law, Ranillug has its seat and boundaries set out in the text of Law 03/L-041.
