- The 2024 census counted, among others, 1,702 Albanian and 1,330 Serb residents.
- At Vërban, right next to the Kllokot spa on the Morava, traces of an ancient settlement have been recorded.
- The municipality was established by Law 03/L-041 on Administrative Municipal Boundaries (2008, Article 5.5).
